Program is located at Daugavpils University, in the Russian speaking city of Daugavpils, Latvia. Students will live with Russian-speaking host families and be immersed in language courses, cultural activies, and excursions to neighboring Russian-speaking regions. The program runs for eight-weeks, and students will regularly meet with a Russian language partner.
Class size will be from three to eight students.
All Project GO programs provide funding for:
- Tuition/fees
- Room and Board
- Travel to/from study location
- Books
- Insurance
- Visa
The following costs will not be included in Project GO Funding: personal spending money, personal travel, costs for obtaining a passport, medication, and expenses for dependents.
Please Note: Project GO participants planning to travel abroad MUST have a valid U.S. passport in their possession no later than 90 days before anticipated travel date. Many destinations require student visas, which take additional processing time. For further information, visit our FAQs.
Includes Russian conversation, grammatical structure, basic linguistics, composition, papers, and presentations.
Year 2 has a pre-req of at least two semesters of Russian at the beginner level.
Year 3 has a pre-req of four semesters of Russian at the intermediate level.
Year 4 has a pre-req of six semesters of Russian at the advanced level.
*Final level will be determined by placement exam.
