In addition to 4 hours per day of language class, students and their Indonesian activity partners participate in at least 3 hours a week of extracurricular activities, including but not limited to: "survival skills" exercises (buying food, negotiating cab rides, asking for directions, etc.), visits to historic sites, and hands-on activities, including Indonesian martial arts, southeast Asian culinary classes, batik painting lessons, and more.
All Project GO programs provide funding for:
- Room and Board
- Travel to/from study location
The following costs will not be included in Project GO Funding: personal spending money, personal travel, costs for obtaining a passport, medication, and expenses for dependents.
Please Note: Project GO participants planning to travel abroad MUST have a valid U.S. passport in their possession no later than 90 days before anticipated travel date. Many destinations require student visas, which take additional processing time. For further information, visit our FAQs.
