Project GO (Global Officers) is a collaborative initiative that promotes critical language education, study abroad, and intercultural dialogue opportunities for ROTC students. Project GO programs focus exclusively on the languages and countries of the Middle East, Asia, Central Asia, and Africa.
PROJECT GO:
Provides scholarships for critical language study
Funds summer study
Funds study abroad
Is open to any ROTC student - Army, Air Force, Navy/Marines
Is open to contracted or non-contracted cadets/midshipmen
Allows students from all units to study in any Project GO program nation-wide
For Institutions:
Provides institutional grants to support Project GO activities
Undertakes strategic initiatives to normalize study abroad and language study among ROTC students
Promotes intercultural dialogue between ROTC and international students
Facilitates communication among all three services and participating Project GO institutions through national conferences and working groups
Centralizes and summarizes information on ROTC language policy
Investigating the potential of peer-to-peer dialogue.

UW-Madison has a limited amount of Project GO funding available for the study of Arabic, Hindi, Russian, Turkish, and Urdu at its domestic programs on campus in Madison for summer 2013. Please email contact@rotcprojectgo.wisc.edu for more details.
