Integrate Swahili classes into a Bachelor’s degree
- 2 semesters will make an ROTC student eligible for the Summer in Kenya scholarship;
- 4 semesters/12 credits fulfills language requirement for BA;
- Language courses often may be taken to fulfill BS elective requirements;
- Summer Intensive Swahili Classes and scholarships are available.
Integrate an Africana Studies minor into a Bachelor’s degree
- 22 credits of electives in any of 11 departments;
- Swahili classes 102, 231, 232 can be counted.
Coordinate summer study abroad with ROTC training requirements
- Study abroad may be taken during any summer, including the summer after graduation.
- With advance planning, ROTC summer training times may be adjusted to meet individual schedules.
